Stuff I Like Jan 3, 2018
Hello New Year! I'm thankful for 365 blank pages on which to write an incredible story.
I confess that I didn't blog on New Year's Day because I spent all day in pajamas watching the Rose Parade, drinking mimosas, watching HGTV Caribbean Life and daydreaming about buying an island. Of course I don't have money to buy an island, but planning ahead for when I am fabulously wealthy.
I didn't blog yesterday because I was back to work after nearly a month of vacation, and thus I had a month's worth of emails to catch up on. Bad news- I had to wear real clothes instead of pajamas and put makeup on my face. Oh, Adulting...
But today, 3 days in, I am back on track to report on my happy moments of today.

Stuff I liked today:
- Morning puppy kisses. My adorable Jack Russell Terrier, Bushi kissed me with wild abandon when I woke up this morning.
- No traffic on the morning commute.
- K-Cups. Coffee is good.
- Being in meetings today with creative people with clever ideas.
- 70 degree in January. Thank you, California.
- Crying with a friend who is grieving and knowing pain is the cost of truly loving another human being.
- Getting a text message from my daughter that she misses me. It means a lot to know she thinks as highly of me as I do of her.
- Remembering that I still have holiday leftovers and won't have to cook dinner.
- Remembering that I got an Instant Pot for Christmas and can cook something quick if I get the urge. I know, it's a cult. And I am happily now a member.
- Getting by budget under control by signing up for the Ever Dollar app. I agree and decree to be debt free. (A tip of the hat to my late Mama Mary Lou for that one. She used to try to get me to promise that and I just laughed at her and went to the mall. I am ready to admit that she was right.)
